Report: Ravens Bank C Matt Skura before the game of 11. Week vs.. . Titans originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
Baltimore reportedly made the decision to play Matt Skura ahead of the week 11 matchup against Tennessee after a sad week 10 performance in stormy New England last Sunday night.
Skura made three costly mistakes on a windy and rainy night at Gilette Stadium in Foxborough. ESPN’s Jamison Hensely was first on the news.
Last week, Skura had to speak out against fans who attacked his family online after the Ravens lost 23:17 to the Patriots. Of the few snaps that went wrong for Skura, the most notable mistake was a 4-1 attempt to hit Mark Ingram head-to-head late in the competition. Last week, Skura also fought under the middle against Indianapolis, despite a hand injury hampering him.
« The snapshots are worrying, » said Harbaugh. “These are very expensive in the game. Difficult deal, it is a difficult situation. Matt knows he needs to get those snaps back. Nobody feels worse about it than him. ”
Lamar Jackson, who came to Skura and his family’s defense, is likely to receive snapshots of sophomore Patrick Mekari. At 6-foot-4, 308 pounds, Mekari has taken on an elevated role since offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley was ruled out for the season after injuring himself against the Steelers.
Mekari was fired from the University of California and made the 53-man roster last season. During the 2019 campaign, he was even used for an injured Skura. Now in week 11 he has to show security and attitude against a hungry titan defense.
