Jessica Campbell, who starred in NBC’s beloved cult classic Freaks and Geeks and 1999 Reese Witherspoon’s Election, died unexpectedly on December 29 at her Portland, Oregon home, TMZ reports. She was 38.
Cause of death has not been confirmed, but Campbell reportedly had flu-like symptoms the morning of her death.
Campbell appeared in two episodes of Freaks and Geeks as Amy Andrews (aka Tuba Girl), one McKinley High student who dated Ken (played by Seth Rogen) briefly. On The Little Things, Amy Ken revealed that she was born with both male and female sex organs, but her parents decided to have her male organs removed as a baby. Ken was initially baffled, but decided not to let their relationship change.
Campbell’s first acting role was in the 1992 television film, In the Best Interest of the Children, hosted by Sarah Jessica Parker.

Campbell, who had long since retired from acting, reportedly worked as a holistic medicine practitioner.
