A 32-year-old man was charged after an elderly woman was hit by a garbage truck in southwest Sydney on Tuesday morning.
After the accident, emergency services were called to the intersection of Gurney Road and Woodlands Avenue, but the Unidentified woman died on the scene.
Officers from Bankstown Police Department set up a crime scene which was investigated by Crash Investigation Unit investigators.
He was later arrested and taken to Bankstown Police Station and charged with dangerous driving that resulted in death.
He was also accused of negligent driving, disregarding a non-right turn sign, and not giving way to pedestrians.
