In one incident, around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, four people were swept off rocks in Bushrangers Bay near the southernmost point of the peninsula.
Police have not confirmed whether the woman was one of the two people who did the Tried to rescue him.
He was dragged unconscious from the water on popular Rye Beach in Tootgarook on Wednesday afternoon.
