A passer-by in Frick Park spotted a large snake on one of the on Thursday, according to Pittsburgh Animal Care and Control Park paths.
Public safety spokesman Maurice Matthews said animal control officers are searching the area in the park where the line was last seen and that Zone 4 police are also on their guard.
The witness said the snake did not appear to be native to the area, Matthews said, although « it has not yet been verified what type of snake it is ».
Authorities reminded residents to keep their distance Hold lines they are unfamiliar with and notify the police.
